Archos 5 and Archos 7 introduced
Posted by sawaru | Category: Portable Media Player & Storage
Archos did hinting on its new Internet Media Tables.Three new models have been introduced, the Archos 5 and Archos 7, which both include high-resolution touchscreens, WiFi, up to 320GB storage and slender casings, and the Archos 5g which adds 3G HSDPA cellular broadband.
The Archos 5 is available in 60GB, 120GB and 250GB capacities, with a 4.8-inch 800 x 480 touchscreen and 0.5-inch thickness, while somewhat curiously the Archos 5g only comes in one 30GB variety. The bigger Archos 7, meanwhile, has a 7-inch touchscreen (still at 800 x 480), either 160GB or 320GB capacity and is 0.63-inches thick.
Cowon P5 PMP nice family addition
Posted by sawaru | Category: Portable Media Player & Storage
Cowon P5 touchscreen PMP. This recently announced PMP features a 5″ touchscreen lcd to control either 60GB or 80GB of your personal media. Mount this on the dash in your car, bring it with you on an intercontinental flight, hide it under the table in your next boring board room meeting. If you want to dedicate your iPhone or smart phone to its intended use, the Cowon P5 makes a nice addition.
Onda VX747 PMP features galore
Posted by admin | Category: MP3 Player, Portable Media Player & Storage
The VX747 is the first touch screen interactive player to use the new JZ4732 chipset, like other similar players, this can play unconverted videos that are in a high resolution state at 30FPS. It can play a variety of audio and video file formats. The touch screen gives the user interface a slick feel, this is definitely a mark improvement from Onda VX858 and VX878. This model is available in 4GB and 8GB of internal memory.
The overall design looks like a smaller version of the iPod Touch, with chrome contours, the 3 buttons on the front are +(volume up), M (Menu) and -(volume down), these buttons are generally for increasing and decreasing volume, but they can also be used for the built-in games.
Screen:
The VX747 boast a 16:9, 3 inch screen, 262k colors QVGA (also called WQVGA), with a resolution of 400×240, a very good screen quality, easy to clean, and sensitive enough for you to use your fingers on it.
User Interface:
The interface is very simple. Three(3) buttons on the front, one(1) power on/off slide-button on the side, a small Reset-button hole just in case you need it(you can use the stylus pen or a paper clip), USB 5-pin standard Mini-USB, also standard 3.5mm headphone jack and a Micro SD/SDHC slot supporting 512MB to 32gb.
TG Sambo a PMP plus Digital TV
Posted by admin | Category: Music & Entertainment, Portable Media Player & Storage
TG Sambo’s new PMP is noteworthy at least because it doesn’t attempt to ape the iPod Touch’s GUI. The Korean media player also has a larger screen - at 4.8-inches - and aside from audio and video is capable of browsing the internet via a WiFi b/g connection and watching T-DMB digital TV. Hidden underneath the “Luxurious” menus is Windows CE 5.0, churning away on an Alchemy AU1250 700MHz processor.
At the moment the PMP has only been confirmed for a Korean launch, but it’s not unusual for these gadgets to be picked up and rebadged for sale in North America and Europe. It could make for an interesting middle-ground between the iPod Touch and Nokia’s range of N-series Internet Tablets. However neither of those have mobile TV.

Egoman true color PMP
Posted by admin | Category: Portable Media Player & Storage, Video Player
Egoman’s latest PMP, the MP810RSTD-43 bears an impressive, 4.3-inch touchscreen, which supports 16.7 million colours, and that just about sets it apart from the other iPod touch clones sitting it out in PMP purgatory. The device will playback WVI and RMVB at 30 fps, is just 7.2mm thick and will happily playback MP3, WMA, ADPCM, WAV, APC and FLAC files. With a USB 2.0 port, integrated FM tuner and an onboard TV out port, Egoman haven’t done too bad a job here at all. Still, with the product page stating "specifications are subject to change without notice," perhaps we should take the player’s planned existence with a touch of salt.
